DIY Skin Highlighter For Cheeks, Brows & Eyes
Over the last few years, highlighters have become super popular and that actually is quite understandable: they’re great at what they do, right? Basically, the highlighter is a product that is specially created to highlight the best features of someone’s face and body, particularly the cheeks, brows and eyes. By applying the highlighter on these parts of the face, you actually “lift” the skin up and make the skin look glowing and youthful.
On the market you can find various highlighter brands and unfortunately, most of these products are packed with dangerous chemicals that might irritate your skin. So, instead of using such products, out advice is to prepare your own product that is completely natural and chemical – free.
In today’s article we are going to present you a DIY skin highlighter that is 100% natural and it actually works! Isn’t that great?
For the preparation of this DIY skin highlighter you will need only three ingredients which actually are as efficient as any other commerical highlighter. Well, the main difference is the fact that the DIY highlighter is cheap and it is not harmful for your skin.
DIY Skin Highlighter
- 2 tablespoons almond oil or grapeseed oil
- 2 teaspoons beeswax
- 1 teaspoon white mica powder
Method of preparation:
Put the ingredients in a double boiler and put it on medium heat. Stir until the ingredients are melted and pour the mixture into a clean jar or some clean cream box.
It is important to mention that the mica tends to sink to the bottom, so make sure to stir well while you are pouring the mixture in some suitable container.
In order to get a darker highlighter, simply add more mica and don’t forget to stir before it sets.
Leave your DIY skin highlighter to set for half an hour and that’s it! Your homemade highlighter is ready for use.
For best effect, apply the highlighter on your cheeks (the highlighter should extend towards the ears) and in the corners of your eyes. This product will make your skin look glowing and bright.
